Jack Featherstone performs mediocre magic shows at the Denver Clocktower. When his agent arranges for Las Vegas scouts to see his act, Jack's life goes sideways: the scouts are goblins in skin suits, a dragon attacks their limo, and his assistant reveals she's a fairy warrior sent to bring him home. Jack is the lost prince of a dying kingdom, and the portal to save it is under DIA. With nothing but his stage magic and a lifetime of performing for indifferent audiences, he has to fight his way to a throne he never wanted. The best trick he ever learned came from years of nobody clapping.
